Pestene powder is a natural pesticide for the control of lice and mites, especially in nest boxes during breeding.

Pestene powder is produced from derris dust which is considered a natural pesticide for the control of lice and mites. This is especially useful for prevention during breeding.
Prevention: Pestene Powder can be added to nest shavings material for the control of lice and mites during breeding. Add two shakes to the wood shavings and mix in before putting into the nest box.
Treatment: Lice (Mallophaga spp) and mites (Dermanyssus spp). Sprinkle through the feathers, under the wings and around the neck, breast and vent at weekly intervals. Apply liberally to nests and nesting areas.
